قلعة نزوى

تقع في ولاية نزوى بمحافظة الداخلية في سلطنة عُمان.

بُنيت في القرن السابع عشر في عهد الإمام سلطان بن سيف اليعربي.

تعد من أكبر القلاع في عُمان وتتميز ببرج دائري ضخم يبلغ ارتفاعه حوالي 30 مترًا وقطره نحو 36 مترًا.

كانت القلعة مقرًا للحكم ومركزًا للدفاع عن المنطقة.

تحتوي على غرف وساحات وممرات ضيقة صُممت لأغراض دفاعية.

يجاورها سوق نزوى المعروف بمنتجاته التقليدية مثل الفضة والتمور.

تعتبر من أهم المعالم التاريخية والسياحية في السلطنة.٣

Nizwa Fort

Nizwa Fort is located in the Wilayat of Nizwa in the Al Dakhiliyah Governorate of Oman.

It was built in the 17th century during the reign of Imam Sultan bin Saif Al Ya'arubi.

It is one of the largest forts in Oman and features a massive circular tower about 30 meters high and 36 meters in diameter.

The fort served as a center of governance and defense for the region.

Inside, it contains rooms, courtyards, and narrow passages designed for defensive purposes.

It is adjacent to Nizwa Souq, famous for its traditional products such as silver and dates.

It is considered one of the most important historical and tourist landmarks in the Sultanate.

ساحة كبيرة تُستخدم للتجمعات والأنشطة داخل القلعة.✨

Inside Nizwa Fort 🏰, there are several facilities and sections that were used for governance and defense. The main features inside include:

Residential rooms for rulers and soldiers. ✨

Majlis (council halls) for meetings and discussions. ✨

Storerooms for dates and grains used to store food. ✨

Water wells to provide water during sieges. ✨

Old kitchens with traditional stoves. ✨

Narrow staircases leading to the tower for defense and surveillance. ✨

Small passages designed to confuse attackers. ✨

Firing openings in the tower walls for defense. ✨

A large courtyard used for gatherings and activities inside the fort. ✨
